In the last 16 years, the Long Beach Housing Development Company has worked hard and diligently to increase the City’s number of affordable rental units. Along with the hundreds of new affordable apartments the LBHDC has helped develop and rehabilitate, there are also privately owned affordable units. We have compiled a list of many of them in this section. We hope you find the perfect one for you.
We’ve divided our list of privately-owned affordable rental housing units into six different categories: Seniors (62+), Family, Seniors & Disabled, HIV/AIDS, Board & Care, Non-elderly Disabled (18 to 62). Once you find the housing facility that meets your needs, please contact them directly.
Last year, the LBHDC helped create over 228 units of affordable rental
housing. We are on track to add another 450 plus units within
our city limits. Our goal is to make sure every citizen in the city
has decent, safe and affordable housing.
